Artist Statement:
These days, I prefer to think of myself as a collaborator in my art rather than the author of it. Sometimes I find the art wants to be something other than what I had in mind. As a young artist this was very frustrating. Now, I allow the art to become what it wishes to be. As a result, I'm not only turning out pretty good work, I am also experiencing and unprecedented prolific period of creation. I am a writer also and a complete look at what I do is available at wjacksavage.com. My artwork is found under "portfolio." A collection of my artwork, my seventh book entitled "Imagination, The Art of W. Jack Savage" was recently published. I've been an artist all of my life but I haven't shown since I was a boy. Hopefully, I moving toward having another show one day.

The Artist:
W. Jack Savage is a retired broadcaster and educator. He is the author of six books. More than eighty of his drawings and paintings and nearly fifty of his stories have been published worldwide. Jack and his wife Kathy live in Monrovia, California.
