Nicole was born on April 30, 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio. She received a B.F.A, with a major in illustration from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2000.

After graduation Nicole began work as a freelance illustrator and designer. Deciding to further pursue her love for painting, Nicole moved to Los Angeles, and began by showing with Cannibal Flower, and The Hive gallery, where she currently has a studio, and most recently with La Luz de Jesus, WWA, and Gallery Meltdown.

Enchanted by the enchanting, Nicole pulls raw inspiration from sources such as macabre children’s tales, folklore, nature, and animals to create intriguing environmental fairytales. In these paintings the human and animal characters are placed in fantastical situations inspired by environmental issues, such as the disappearance of the honeybee. These works live in a magical realm where humans value the bond between and respect the differences of our world and the kingdom of animalia, and are created in hopes that this world may one day exist. All of the pieces are acrylic on panel, and displayed in carefully selected vintage frames.
