Alexia Pilat, born in San Francisco. Educated at The Rhode Island School of Design. Lives and works in Los Angeles. Alexia’s work has been called sophisticated and evocative, the true essence of the moment, memorable and good. Alexia developed her photographic talent using a “point and shoot” visual aesthetic and a work in “real-time” style. Because of her ability to visualize the synergy of the moment, she’s had an interesting career photographing artists, film productions, musicians, individual portraits, as well as being a favorite choice of party hosts — solidifying her party pictures as some of the most celebrated in her archives. Alexia’s most cherished work is her self-portrait series titled “Tales Of A Bohemian Princess.” In this series, distant travels show her bound to her experience through space, time, energy, and light. Alexia’s photography can also be seen in “Jason Rhoades: Black Pussy Cocktail” coffee table book, published by Steidl and David Zwirner Gallery.
