BIO:
Chad Kaplan grew up in (and currently resides in) the southern New England area and is presently attending his last semester at Emerson College in Boston as an animation major. Art and animation are a huge passion of his (and while making animation is a relatively recent endeavor of his) he has been interested in both fields for a long time. Drawing is something he has been doing for nearly all his life and finds it extremely fun, rewarding, and relaxing. Because he has a huge love of cinema and history, these areas are what influence his work the most. He is especially keen on tough-guy action films of the 1960s and 70s, and is a big fan of Italian and Japanese genre cinema of these eras in particular. He recently combined his love for animation and cinema and created several behind-the-scenes dramatizations for the upcoming documentary EUROCRIME! THE ITALIAN COP AND GANGSTER FILMS THAT RULED THE '70S, which will be premiering at the Atlanta Film Festival March 30th.
